For one of our clients, a pioneer in the IT sector, we are looking for an entrepreneurial CEO to run and grow the business. The organization stands out due to its rich history, high quality solutions and very passionate employees.
The Role
The CEO will oversee and manage all business operations, people, and the P&L. Given the organization’s ambitions to grow internationally, the objective of this role is to drive profitable growth through developing market-oriented commercial strategies including a competitive product portfolio and a strong (digital) brand. S/he will continue to drive the professionalization of the organization through evaluating opportunities to build an ecosystem with external parties and drive digital transformation of the organization.
Ideal Candidate
- 12+ years of experience in general management / business unit position or relevant scope in a commercial management position. Experience with P&L responsibility and managing balance sheets is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience, developing and leading multidisciplinary teams of 50+ people.
- Experience in cloud computing
- Track record in developing commercial strategies geared towards organizational growth.
- Solid understanding of management.
- Experience in the European and American market.
- Master’s degree in business, marketing or related. MBA is a plus.
- Fluency in English. Proficiency in German or Dutch is considered a plus.
Personal Skills
- Helicopter view, with eye for detail. Oversee complete business model and value chain, able to manage a team with HR, Commercial, Brand, Solution Development, Operations and Finance.
- Strategic long-term view. Able to translate insights into commercial strategy and concrete action plans for each department of the organization to significantly grow the business’ profit.
- Great stakeholder management and communication skills. Develop and maintain strong and personal long-term relationships with the board as well as key players and beyond.
- Makes decisions, takes responsibility, and provides leadership to the team.
- Easily adapts to different people, environments, and situations and is open to adventures.
- Strong team player that works well with multidisciplinary teams at diverse levels and with diverse backgrounds.
- Entrepreneurial and hands-on. Identifies opportunities, sets priorities, and takes action to grow the business while active in daily business and operational tasks.
- Adventurous spirit. Thinks positively, bold, open for adventures, and easily adapts to different situations, cultures, and circumstances.
